On Friday 29th September 2006 TTARL Launches it's Kenwood Radio stand alone APRS project using TM-700A

and TH-D7 Kenwood radios. This came about because of an earthquake on that said day measuring 6.1 on the scale. This earthquake impacted heavily on the twin island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and in having JULIEN 9Z4FZ taking out of the bunkers all Kenwood APRS radios to be in operation in the event of any emergency that may arise. Since then a lot of work has been going on towards fully developing this project. Special thanks to all who have contributed in some small way in getitng this project off the ground, also special thanks to all xyl's who have put up with the sacrifice by their husbands day and night flying the birdies towards 100% success of this project.
